Tampa Bay Business Journal - July 10, 2006
by Larry Halstead

Yacht Clubs of the Americas has purchased the Tampa Bayside Marina and two other marinas in Naples and Key West for approximately $100 million. The marinas are being converted to member-owned storage facilities or dockominiums.

The 700 dry slips at Tampa Bayside are being sold for between $120,000 and $184,000 each and can hold boats up to 45 feet, said Lauren Loeffler, spokesperson for YCOA.

Owners will have the use of an array of amenities, such as a full-time dockmaster and staff, dockside deli and owners' lounge, unlimited in/out service, boat washing and engine flushing, pool, waterfront tiki hut and barbeque area, shower and restroom facilities, 24-hour security and all fuel and provisions at wholesale cost, the company said in a release.
